naa it was just a 50, but i ended up throwing a rod and buying a new motor so i had to get rid of it

it was an 1/8 track and yes i have an auto, it sux but i wasnt even going to do anything to this car when i bought it lol
o i ran a 10.3, its still not too fast but i killed the l;ancer. its the slow version of the lancer and its a 5 speed with injen cold air and exhaust

yes. your engine should take a 50 shot all day without problems IF

A) its properly installed
B) its properly maintained
C)its properly used

this would include changing spark plugs every oil change (with the CORRECT plugs, irridium and platnum only help the chance of detonation, plus the plug needs to be 1 to 2 steps colder, i reccomend EVERYONE use NGK-BKR7Es), frequent oil changes (no more then 5K mi MAX between), checking the solonoids and fuel accesories, and of course driving the car correctly wien on the juice (ie do NOT activate it at really low RPM or operate it near redline). Im willing to bet that you threw a rod either because you didnt properly maintain your equipment or because of incompetence while using said equipment.
