i heard late next year, with a price around 30k to compete with the STI. It will be the EvoII but slightly modified from the JDM/European ones. At least that is what i heard.
Yes, they are. Early next year. There were 4 presold in Denver around 2 months back. And if your really lucky to be in a certain city, rumor is they have 3 already here in the US for display.

Who cares.. the only people that will tell the difference betwee the two are the people in Europe & Asia, that have already been through all them all and drive them.. to us, it'll be a brand spankin new experience, whichever model that comes in!
Yes, the Evo VIII's coming to the states. The Evo VII's already been out for more than a year in Japan, and they usually release a newer Evo every 2 years.
Evo VIII is going to be better tuned than the VII, since VII is the first generation for that model. They'll use their rally experience in re-tuning the car, so it'll be
Price-wise, it should be the same as the WRX: 26k-ish.

i talked to guy from the mazda/mitsu dealership here in Myrtle Beach, SC and he said the would be showing up, probably in feb/march 2003. he did know how they would be priced but he was very certain that they would break the price one bit. The first year just may be the most expensive time to buy one
