Don't you know man, those guys in that one movie. They put stickers all over their car, neons underneath, and killer stereos. They also use NAAAAWS. Sometimes they even play racing video games while waiting for the race to start!
a real street racer is someone that is active in your local street race scene, and actually races and beats people. not someone that just says they street race but you never see racing on the street. but hey it was just a question cause im curious to see wat yall had done to your cars cause im basically done with my car and im about to start hookin up my gurlfriends car. and i was wonderin if it is worth it to just do the rsx type S, swap in it to make it go fast?

american muscle cars (i knew i was gonna loose)
a curb
an undercover cop car
more cops

Geez why don't we just change the name of this site to "Keep it on the Track Dot Com"...I must have seen that phrase on here at least 5 times in the past two days...
BTW, 94civcsedan, that quote is from Fast and the Furious...but you should know that, you have another quote from it in there ("Bull$hit a$$hole, no one likes the tuna here")...I'm sorry, I just happened to watch the movie 2 days ago
My favorite quote from F&F: "granny shifting...not double clutching like you should..." (damn that movie had horrible acting)

a street racer doesn't list the cars he beats b/c he always racing. he runs his cars so many times that he cant remember his wins or even his losses. street racing isnt spontaneous either. its setup so stoplight to stoplight isn't really racing. the only real "street racing" scene that i've seen personally was in chicago- the weekend i went up to hin. ALL the cars there, btw, were sleepers. all go-no show. what was cool, was they had classes. turbos/supercharger class. all-motor class. spraying nitrous wasn't allowed. everybody ran there cars. it lasted till like 7 in the morning and no harassment from cops all night even though its dead center in the city.
- for those that say "keep it to the track." street racing isn't something i promote nor condone b/c driving in itself is dangerous. gateway raceway here in stl plus is very facist and pro american-muscle cars. not that i have against anything domestics. but gateway has been promising an all-import racing night (specifically wednesday) for the past 3 years and we have yet to see one day dedicated to imports. plus it costs like $35 to make only 3 runs and you'll be lucky to get your timeslip for any one of them. plus it takes like 2 hrs between each run and that's when barely anybody is there.
- the only good thing about gateway is the garage mechanics who parked outside and work/tune on everybody's car.
