Dumbasses=300 shot=Blown Motor!!

Ok, I'm bored here at work, so I thought I'd share a little story with you guys... One of my friends has a 97 Accord (automatic trans.). He's got this thing all tricked out. It's basically a show car with tvs, 19" rims, custom paint job, etc. He also has a bit of work done to the engine and he's spraying a 75 shot. Well, about a month ago, his transmission went out. He's ballin so he puts it in the shop to have a new transmission put in. On his way out, he mentions that he has nitrous and that he doesn't want them touching ANYTHING on his setup. They say ok, and then get to work. No big deal right? Well, my friend gets his car back and everything's runnin great. A few days go by and then on saturday night, he lines up to race this Eclipse GST. He opens up his bottle, purges his lines, an arms the system. As soon as he gets the signal to go, he punches it and his car left that GST like it was standing still. 1st gear was about a half second long, and right when it got to the top of 2nd gear the motor blew up!!! Later on we find out that the fokkers that replaced the tranny took out his 75 shot nozzle, and forgot to put it back in!!! So when he sprayed, he was sprayin a 300 shot!! After tearing those guys a new a$$hole, he now has a new engine in there and everything is back to normal.

I'm not sure, I never asked him. I told him to get a better motor, and just do a swap.....but he just put another accord motor back in there. Now he might keep the old motor and build it up better than before it blew the f u c k up.

Those guys are real idiots, they messed with his nitrous system, even when he said not to touch anything but the tranny..., they should pay for everything.

So, I was reading the post...and I see a few problems with what happened. First off, who tells anyone to not mess with their nitrous system. You don't say that because it either means they will mess with it, or they just think your a foocker. Second off, in replaceing an automatic transmission, in any car, you wont have to go near any sort of nitrous system. I want some solid proof...pictures would be great, because if my car blew up, I would be pissed...however I would be proud also and take multiple pictures...

He makes a good point but I still think the dumb fvcks probably messed with it. I don't know about the Accord but on my 91 MX-6 the engine had to be pulled out to get to the tranny. If the Accord is the same way then I can see them disconnecting the lines.

a 300 shot of n2o on a barely modified (im guessing it was considering only 75 originally) motor. that would
a) blow up on takeoff
b) blow up on takeoff
c) blow up on takeoff
d) cause 1 or more pistons to fly threw the hood.

LOL
Whatever you say guys. They did infact mess with the nozzle, and he did blow his motor. He didn't take pictures of anything because he was a bit embarrased. He took it into the shop the next day and got everything taken care of. As for the 300 shot.....well, I didn't sit down and do the calculations. That's just what he told me. No need to call B.S. on me, and no need for me to post pictures. It was just a story. It's not like I'm telling everyone I have turbo.

uh... perhaps you need to READ.COMPREHEND.POST.
He just said that after a 1/2 second in first gear, the engine blew up. 1/2 second isn't exactly 50 feet down the line of a takeoff.

that means he was going about 60 mph.

what im saying is that his wheels would have spun like crazy and his motor would have blown right at the starting line. he wouldnt have gone anywhere.

that type of acceleration off the line in street tires? no way youd get anything worth of traction. maybe if you had some roasted up slicks or something.
