That list is already outdated!

For instance Ford (through Land Rover) is buying engines etc.. from BMW

Toyota and Nissan have linked up to do Hybrids

And Volvo (Ford owned) is supposed to be working with (of all people) GM on a V8/Tranny for the XC90....

Go figure.

Mitsubishi is also fully owned by Daimler Chrysler, not partially.
Maybe we'll see some product quality improvements?

yeah the list may be out dated....but i tell you one thing....all these chevy ford and chrysler owners criticize me cause i have an import style vehicle(this town is ruled by 2 chrysler plants and one gm plant, i am one of few with a car that is honda with mods)...what they don't know is there sh$t is just as imported as mine. My honda was built in tennessee and the only thing really imported is the tranny(good thing too) there are a few other items on it made by different companies in different areas. These people need a severe pimp slap cause they are dumb as rocks.

Well done but Vauxhall and Opel are the same company. In England its Vauxhall in continental Europe its called Opel. You have them listed as separate.

That's because the current (new) Range Rover was developed by BMW, and Ford bought Rover just before it went into production.

VW bought the Rolls-Royce automotive division, which included Bentley. They didn't get the name, which belongs to the aircraft engine wing of the company. BMW then licensed the Rolls-Royce name from the plane division.

Leadfoot: tons of GM's divisions sell barely-modified versions of each others' cars. Opel and Vauxhall are no closer than any of GM's other brands.
