I am about to buy a Black 2001 Civic Si 5sp 30,xxx km's (canadian model so thats the ex i believe in usa) and was wondering if anyone regrets buying the 7th gen instead of the 6th? What are some of the pro's and con's of both 6th and 7th? I am 17 and this would be my first car which i am paying for by myself. I jsut wan't to make sure I am making the right decission. What do u liek and dislike abou the exterior, interior, performance and handleing?
Thanks for you reply's.

7th gens are harder to get speed out of. 6th gens have more effective intake/exhaust/headers, have available turbos, etc.
It depends what you are using your car for. If you're not into mods then 7th gen gets better gas mileage and stuff than 6th gen so it might be a better choice.
7th gen has cooler gauges

Give the manufacturers some time. It takes time to get a good set of mods out there. There is an abundance out there, but not as much as for the 6th gen.
Just take some time, and enjoy the car. 7th gen is a great civic.

I think if you want to keep up with what's recent then get the 7th Gen... they will make nice hybrid cars in the long run but if you're anxious about performance (kinda like me) and don't mind being one of the many 6th Gen Civic drivers out there, modding the car, or live in an area where the Si doesn't get jacked that much... get the Si.
