Raced a new Si hatch.
Tonight was the typical night - deliver pizzas, blah blah blah. I asked my boss if I could get off work at the time I'm normally scheduled to get off at and he let me go due to the low traffic in delivering pizzas. I called up some of my peeps from my team to see what was up with them and they were up in Union City's plaza area waiting for our friend with a 95 Supra to get off of work. By the time I got there, another guy in an RX-7 showed up. Much later a brand spankin new 2002 Acura NSX comes up in white. Despite all of the fixed up cars that were around the area, that one took the cake. Overpriced, but wow.
Anyhoo let's see... red, black, silver, and blue... 4 Civics and a Supra... all four of us just cruised maliciously for a while going to a place that sells some kind of Asian fruit drink (I guess?). Everyone was getting tired so we bounced. Everyone but the Supra hits 880 north as I head towards the 580 west junction to get home.
I'm in the far left lane and there's this black car... with unfamiliar looking taillights... they were also very dark and I didn't know what the hell it was as it's darkness almost made it look like a shadow. Well, what do you know... ? A new Si. I'm thinking, "Come on, how often can you get the chance to race one of these?" I discover it's prescence once I changed lanes and even went beside him. He had a girl in the passenger seat (cute one, too). Anyhoo the car was still very new with no plates yet, but it had hyperwhite corners which looked incredibly strange. It stays in the far left lane and I'm changing lanes trying to get through traffic, occasionally revving my engine in 4th gear (too bad I took off my exhaust, but oh well.) I end up in front of it in the far left lane eventually and it starts to tail me (woohoo!). I'm in 5th gear pushing around 80MPH+ and not surprised... it catches up to my rear and I end up having to slow down to around 65MPH because this car is going to slow in our lane in front of me. With the Si now literally on my ***, I downshift to 4th and push the gas a couple of times to get this car out our way, hoping my loud engine would make him move but no good... I just go around the car and back into the far left lane. Si follows... I'm FLOORING it in 4th and it's tailing me... not catching up with me at all but more like pacing 2 car lengths behind me. We come to this huge turn that says 60MPH so now I'm gonna see if the Si has the capability (or the *****) to take this turn at a high speed. I take it at 85MPH and the lil bulky hatch ends up slowing down for the turn. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG]

With me still accelerating I leave it as I shut down after maxing 4th gear out at 110MPH. The road becomes a straight and now it moves to the far right lane. I move in it's lane as well but there's also my exit. I was expecting it to take my exit too (since it moved all the way over there) but it just stayed on 580. (Damnit!) Oh well, I was hoping I could see what it could do on the straight... not that it would surprise me. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG] (In other words, I would lose!)

haha... you just proved that your a crazier driver than him, not that your car is faster... but sometimes, thats all it takes when freeway racing... unless you hit a straitaway then your screwed

What....so you never actually raced him side by side (not that I condone any of that s.hit ) but come on man. How can you say OWN3D when you only took him on a turn. Hey, good story and all, but I don't think so.

this morning I was drivin to a friends house with the biatch. this civic pulls up behind me at a set of lights and revs his engine. I punch it, so he can pull up beside me, and just as he's getting close, I look over and the woman's giving me the death stare.

its fun to freak her out though [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG] hehehe
