I got a speeding ticket in canada and I want to protest it, the cop said that I was going 75km/h when i was really going 60km/h cuz i thought we were where in a 50 zone but we where were in a 30 zone? anyone know how i can protest this

your screwed bud. Dont let people fool you the cop is going to show up. The cops used to not show up because if the court time and date was not on there
working shift then they never got paid to come so they would not show and u would win. That was then and now they do get paid to show on there off time
so dont go in with the cop wont show attitude. Try to plea with the judge instead.try to get the points lowered and pay the whole fine or somthing along those lines.

you won't win.....it doesn't matter what speed you were going, the cop wrote down that one and its too late to change it. and most likely, the cop will show up, adn you will lose. so just goto traffic school and pay the fine. then you won't get points off your record. why pay for a lawyer, and the court fines and everything else?? tome that is just a waste of money.....

call some traffic lawyers and get advice. They're the 'bad' lawyers, that can get you off on a technicality.

But dayam, where the heck are there 30 zones up here in canada?!?!?!

did the cop show you his radar gun? they have to show you the gun..there's a bunch of little details like that.

for one, if the cop 'adjusted' or 'tuned' the gun recently, make sure that it was not HIM who did it. It has to be a third party...etc. These are the technicalities that a lawyer knows about.

Sure, you might pay more for a lawyer, but you won't lose your license!!!!

they just made a 30 zone for areas around parks that what I was told, and whats traffic school I heard it talked about it but I don't know what it is
(I'm guessin traffic school is only in the US?)

I am not sure, but i do think that the radar has to be "recalibrated" every so often or you can get off, but i wouldn't hope for something like that.
