cops attracted to nicer civics???
i know people who have rims and body kit that drive just like me and seem to attract cops majorly always getting tickets and i was wondering if anybody else has these same problems if when you added exterior mods you seemed to get more tickets. i really want my 19's and kit but dont want to have to chnge my driving style or have to pay for excessive tickets due to the appeal to cops,

Rep Power: 0 I never have any real problems. I just dont drive like an idiot or speed, or try and race every one. I have been pulled over twice in the year I have had my civic, and both were for justifiable reasons. I have learned that if you are polite to cops usually they will respect you a lot more.

Rep Power: 0 If you drive like an idiot of course your gonna get pulled over, especially if you have a car that attracts alot of attention. So if you can't drive within the laws then don't put exterior mods on your car that will attract more attention. It is that simple.

Rep Power: 0 cops don't reaslly target us.. it just seems that way. They target pretty much ANY car that they think is capable of high speed, or looks showy. Get yourself a radar detector and watch you a$$.

Rep Power: 0 Well, when you see a civic or other import that has a body kit, big wheels, etc., whom do you usually see behind the wheel? I bet it is almost always a young male and more than likely, a teenager. Of course you are going to get singled out.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, I'm ashamed to say I tend to drive a little bit more on the moronic side. Thankfully nothing has happened to me (or anyone else) yet, and I've only gotten 2 speeding tickets in 2 years. I've been pulled over a few times, but justifiably, and I'm always honest with the cops ("I honestly didn't know how old she was, officer!") heh heh. But yeah, if your car attracts attention, and your driving is, well, like mine, you'll probably attract the cops more as well.

Rep Power: 0 I only started getting bothered by cops once I put my exhaust on. In 2nd you can go 35 and it sounds like your doing 100, of course they are going to look. I generally stay with 5-10 over so I don't get bothered much....except the ticket for 105 on the on ramp, that was bad, but my talented lawyer got it dropped.
