Sad.....
Sad.....
Ive been meaning to get these pics up. The following is graphic and not for the weak hearted. This was my very first car that I had from high school all the way up till January when I got my civic. These pictures were taken in March when No. Jersey got pounded by a storm. This 2 ton oak tree violated my poor '89 Prelude. The saddest part(other than the fact that I loved this car) was that we had a buyer. He was coming later that week with $1500 for her. Mind you this car was in PERFECT shape before this, without a single scratch, ding, dent or rust with only 40k miles and brand new everything.

sorry if some of the pics are a little blury, my bro took them. I was at school when all this happened.

Sorry bout the prelude, but you always gotta look at the silver lining...if you had sold the car earlier and bought a new civic, you would've felt a lot worse.

I imagine that you feel just about the same way I did when I flipped and totalled my 97 integra GSR. Sucks man. Everything will get better though. The depression goes away after a few months
yea i suppose the depression is going away at this point. but i still really miss that car. it handled great and unlike my civic, it was a stick. i did so much to that car. i swapped out the entire interior for a '91 Si's, had a new stereo in it, all new parts in just about every part of the car. sad. real sad. saddest part is that the insurance did nothing cause the car's collision had been cancelled since it was just sitting in the driveway cause i had my new civic at that point. The tree wasnt even ours, it was the neighbors. All the fighting in the world didnt convince their insurance company to do anything. We had it towed away and donated the car for its parts to the Children's Cancer Society. I'm sure they got many good useable parts off of it and it went to a good cause. I might run over to the wrecking yard this week to see if she ended up there after it was stripped out. that would just make me even more depressed though

at least you were not in the car
