just had an awesome weekend racing

i just spent the entire weekend, the third of the summer, road track racing, and let me tell you it is the most fun i have ever had. yeah right, not in my civic. i was with my dad and his porsche 911 racer. porsche club of america driver's ed events. god that is fun. i honestly don't see how you could pass a porsche up for anything, so i'm thinking that once i get out of school my track car will be a porsche (don't worry, i'll be keeping my vic for a daily driver) that has a whole hell of a lot more potential for the money than any civic will have. yup, i'm addicted. i highly suggest road track racing to anyone.

the $3-5000 for a honda engine swap just to bump you up to 200 HP MAYBE can go sooooo much farther in a porsche. part of the "import scene", as many of us have learned, is the culture. but so are porsches, or any car for that matter. and i can see myself in both areas. i love the jap import culture, but i also love the german sports car culture. so, i'll be part of both, have my vic for DD and my porsche for the track. however, one day i will own a 911 twin turbo, and then it's bye bye to the civic.
