Opinions On Delsol

I found a 93 Delsol SI w/ a 2001 GS-R swap w/ only 4,900 on motor tranny and axels, w/ all records, and was installed by a shop, the car is very clean, adn the swap is so clean it looks like a factory motor brand new, which it is, but I am not sure about delsol, never really heard anything about them, I could get it for $7,500, it is allso lowered and has wheels intake and exhaust, what does evryone think??

I can still do a lot to is because the motor is a stock 01 GS-R, the only thing holding m back is one hard to find fix-up parts and it is kinda small, but w/ the GS-R there is room for a lot of mods and only 4k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

civicdude will become famous soon enough
Sounds like a good deal to me. That car should fly with that motor in it. All you would need is a nice turbo set up and you are ready to go. The Del sol was known for being really heavy, and even with the stock motor at 160hp, it had no guts to get out of its own way. But now that you got a b18 in there, I dont see you having any problems at all. As for the "Girl Car" comment, What are you talking about?? Just so you know most people think that civic's are Girls cars too, and you are driving one....Anyway...I would say to get it checked out by a honda tech....Or someone that knows engines, and if they say it is good, then go ahead and get it. Post pics after you get it.

my friends got a Sol with the b16a3 in it and with his kit and paint job I think its wicked. And switching from "coupe" to convertible in seconds is a plus...personally Id jump on it for that price, if everything looks reputable.
