Went to the track!

Just curious if any of you have 1/8 mile times? i went to an 1/8 mile track with my carclub, and my girlfreind and i decided to take her 02 lx 5-speed with a AEM cai. it was her first time at the track so she MADE me drive her car for her. i'm not used to the clutch and can't launch it well yet. in the 1/8, i ran 11.068@64 mph. how is that? my R/T was .744. not bad, but not great either. anyone with a timeslip? can you check your 1/8 mile time for me? just want to see where her car stands. also, of course, my girlfreind was in the car with me. she also had quite a bit of stuff in her car. you know how women are! well, if you can. please tell me your times so i can compare.

thanx!

I've only done it once with reliable timming equipment.
I did 10.37, I'm not sure about the speed.

I´m sure I could have done better, but I've done a slight mistake by shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear too soon.

In the same day in a drag with a 1992 Concerto I´m sure I did a mutch better time, and just left the Concerto guy heating some dust But the transponder was turned off.

Here I am in action

With that 11.068 1/8 time you were probably on the way of hitting a low to mid 17. as you can see that other's run 10 seconds 1/8 and still manage to run 16. I think you probably would of hit 17.2 +/-.2 but, the reason behind the high time is because you didn't know her car and there was the added weight, don't feel discouraged her car isn't that slow, and to add another thing, reaction time has nothing to do with your 1/8 or 1/4 time. The class that a close to stock civic is in, doesn't use reaction time as a factor in your overall e.t. Lauching below .700 is good but, you can sit at the line for 5 minutes and still run a 16 sec. 1/4 mile.
