Will Kali Allow/Pass my Exhaust???

Well I'm thinking about getting a custom exhaust done here in Texas, but I'm moving to San Diego, Ca... I know the cops are there b/c I used to live there. Anyway, when I get my registration done, will they pass a custom exhaust system? Dang, I'm wondering if when I do it, its gonna be too loud (decible wise). 2.25" cat back piping w/ a connecter pipe to the other side so it'll be a dual exhaust. What do you Kali guys think? Thanx...

Also, do they give you tickets for having LEGAL DOT parts? I saw that MTV show and they just looked under the hood and wrote tickets for the driver, not even questioning if it was legal or not, but yet an aftermarket mod... Kali sux... but I'm going there so I can get in state tuition for college so yeah... Wut should I do?

Thanx,
Sid

- I dunno about that... a friend of mine has a 92 gsr with a custom catback, Apexi N1 muffler with 2.25" piping... he was driving down in SD and he go pulled over going up a hill. The ticket he got was just for having an exhaust, $90, NOT a fixit ticket. Apparently he has to go to the Highway Patrol office where they do a decibal test and then....? I've gotten pulled over for my matrix euros and he asked me if I had any "exhaust modifications." Best advice- it will probably pass smog but just try not to draw attention to yourself. (Except when showing off in front of the ladies of course)

GhettoCivic: what ever happened to your friend then? I mean wuts wrong with having an exhaust? Thats just stupid... Well my tips arent gonna be that big, just dual... so you think I should go with 2" then? I'm just afraid 2.25" will be a little on the loud side, just incase of a decible test like ya'll said...
