si engine swap

before i even start ... yes i did a search, but i couldn't really find anything to answer my question. is it posible to swap a 2002 civic si engine into a 2002 ex right now? like are there engines available? and if so.....how much? thanx

it's the same engine thats in the rsx so therfore u woulb be better off dropping the rsx-s engine in. its only been done once which was htown and the price for the next is supposed to be 10k.

I don't know for sure but if it is possible I'm willing to bet you can get an rsx swap if you paid the extra 1000 or so for the engine.

yes, it is possible to swap in a k-series motor into the em2 chassis (the 7th gen civics). no, there is no 'standard' or direct swap-in method... it takes a lot work when compared to the d- to b- swaps.

hasport is currently working on motor mounts to make the swap 'easier'.

there are k motors available on ebay complete with wiring harnesses and transmission. the 'buy it now' option sets the going rate for the swap contents around $5000usd.

Si's don't fall victim to the modification shortcomings the other 7th gen's do, do they? Or am I just thinking incorrectlly.

I think the si has cought up and will pass us as far as mods, if they havent already, but what did you expect from an si?
