my bro's car is having a problem with a starter motor. I know how to start a manual car with starter motor problem, but since he's car is an auto i have no idea. Is there a trick to start a car with auto trans car? any tips? thanks ....

starter motor? do you perhaps mean just starting his car in general? if you can't turn the key, maybe you're not in the parking (P) gear. also, sometimes you might have your wheel turned in place where it locks. try budging the wheel a lil in either direction. if i'm totally off and a starter motor is something else, then my bad for this waste of post space haha. just trying to help yo.

I think the only solution is to replace the starter motor.

Maybe if you would describe what is happening when the car is not starting. It's kind of hard to diagnose stuff over the internet from just "Car dosen't start".

Is there a grinding noise when it tries to start?
Does the engine turn over but dosen't fire up?
Is there just a clicking sound, but the engine dosen't turn over?
Is there no sound at all when you turn the key?
What is the voltage reading on the battery? (Use a volt meter, the scale on in dash volt meters typically suck)
