don't buy additional packages from honda except for the side air bags. this will cost you additional $200. other than that, everything will cost you big bucks. go for the aftermarket instead.

hey det3 how much of a down payment you putting down? the more you put down they might drop the price for you. i paid my car in full right on the spot for my 02 civic ex coupe 5 speed and they let me out for $13,500 cuz i paid the whole thing off. if i didnt they would probably given it to me around $15-16,000, the usual price for a civic.

I live in the Northeast and if I can swing it I'll pay cash, especially since they may drop the price 2000.
When did you purchase and from what neighborhood.
Thanks

Where in the Northeast man?

And I would definitely go without all the extras first...no sense taking that big of a hit on things that you can get cheeper outside of the dealership...

You live on the East Coast Twilight?

I live in Northern VA, just south of Washington D.C.

Getting back on topic, I got mine for $15,000 I think. I'm a member of Costco Wholesale, and they have a program to let you get the cheapest price possible through specific local dealers. Pretty cool .

Yup, I'm up in MA...

When I was looking for my car (albeit used), I just did a LOT of shopping around...it took me two months before I settled on my civic...and I got in Jan for 5900.00 with 58K miles on it. Not bad for a 97 DX

Ask to see the invoice for the car and demand to buy it for the invoice plus your tax. For sure you should be able to get it for invoice.
