englishtown 1/4 mile time

i went to english town today, it was so friggin hot...

anyway, i register to race and i dont have a clue what im doing (first time). so after the tech station, gotta go rent a helmet. that done i drive into the line, ask a couple of the guys who work there and they say go up next to the green camaro. now its muscle car day, so it was hilarious. all v'8s and drag race cars. ok so i pull up to the line, light goes green, i go. it was the worst run ive done since i got the car last year. too much wheelspin, chirped 2nd, and hit fuel cutoff in 2nd. not to mention the fact that all the windows and sunroof had to be closed, so the cabin temp was so high i thought id pass out.

i talked to my friends who heard the announcer and it was hilarious what he said. "blah blah in the green camaro dial in 11 blah blah, and on the right is an obviously stock honda with really small tires. ladies and getilemen this will be a sight to see" (the 15" stock ones). my friends and i were laughin so much afterward...but one of the funniest things was the driver of the camaro was an elderly lady. when she took off, all i heard was a roar and the camaro did like 1/4 of the run on 2 wheels. overall it was great for a laugh.

i got this, due to my first time being the worst ever:

17.229 @ 80.48 mph
r/t 1.268

and the weather today in etown:

temp - 94 F
humidity 50%

Not too bad, my first time at the track I was running mid-17s, after you get used to it, you'll be able to hit mid or low 16's.

You'll never compete with muscle cars in a civic tho, but I'm sure you know that already

It's all good, just don't do it your 2nd,3rd, and 4th times.....
I haven't tried it yet.....I want to though......Here in Portland, I would just get spanked all over the place, kinda have to build up the courage......I want to run my car how it is.....then put on the HP header and see how big of a difference it is......

That's what I need... a better clutch to stop any slippage.
