THE K20A2 SWAP IS DONE! -PICS-
That's right... thanks to Htown's kindness, a select few here in SoCal got to see (and ride in!) the first K20A2 Civic hybrid!
Let the killing of my poor bandwidth-starved server begin!

Me next to the Civic Type-S
In our Civics we have to install lights to tell when our VTEC kicks in, on this baby there is absolutely no doubt when that i-VTEC hits. It sounds freakin' awesome and you feel the punch.
When I was cruising on the 91 with Htown, we were getting on the freeway and passed an Integra with the i-VTEC screaming. The driver looked at us like, "WTF? Civic's don't sound like that!"
We had a good little meet of about 7 cars (still bigger than most mid-atlantic meets! ) at IKEA at about 6:30. When 9:00 rolled around and Htown was still at Import Builders, we decided to take the meet to him. We all cruised down to Fullerton and got to witness the import tuner's candy store that is Import Builders.
I can't tell you what a nice guy Htown is. Not only did he spend time to talk to us, but he gave us all rides until 12:00am. Thank you, Htown!!!
Oh yeah... when we were out cruising we saw a Lamborghini also.

enzymes: Although I appreciate your enthusiasm, I posted links intstead of embedding pics in an effort to keep traffic on my server down. Could you please remove those?
Wow !!!

This has got to be like the single most important event of the year. Years after now, we will tell our grandchildren stories from before The Great Swap
Life won't be the same for us from now on. Except for us simple people that don't have the $$ or guts to do a swap. But now we can at least tell others that it's possible.
There's one thing that bothers me. Where does one get hold of a K20 engine ? The don't come with MCdonalds happy meal do they ?

Yeah, I realized this pretty shortly after doing that, sorry about that. Wish I could have been there though.
Unfortunately my server runs on a pretty crappy DSL line and it's gettin' hammered right now.

Man, I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight, and when I do I think I'll be dreaming of that i-VTEC scream.
He still had the very restrictive Civic cat on there, and it still kicks ***! Once he gets a more free flowing cat and a turbo... oh man. I think I'm in love.
