OK, embarrasing experience. I´m at a stop light and there´s this guy with a VW Pointer (a brazilian built compact thats cheaper and smaller than the golf). Its the "gti" version which has a 2.0 liter engine with 130 hp.

So he starts up faster, I wasn´t ready but decided to try to catch on, I was never able to reduce a 3 car distance between us, so I´m taking the blaming for not pushing the pedal to the bottom...

Hey, at least I wasn´t leaving pieces of my car all over the road! (That car is so cheaply built that it looks like the hood is going to blow away if you accelerate too hard).

If I just had a stick instead of an auto... my left foot would be paralized from the sickening traffic of Mexico City... so screw it, I´m keeping my slowpoke.

It's all good, you should look up my similar experience with a Chrysler Town and Country MINIVAN. Yes, we all have embarrasing moments in our lives .

But I made up for it yesterday when some dude in a Malibu tried to race me. I dusted him, althought I'm not sure how because a Malibu is a V6 with 200hp, but I did, and I'm happy for it .

P.S. If you ever get nitrous or a turbo, you may be glad you have an auto. From what I've heard, they tend to work better than manuals with Forced induction because you can keep the juice always on with very little effort (meaning a heavy right foot) [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG] .
