Civic 5-door hatchback, and civic platform minivan...WTF??
I found these on a site. They are for European market only.

Rep Power: 0 5 door hatches are the mainstream cars in europe. Actually most of the euro cars (such as the opel astra, the focus, the golf) are first designed as 5 door hatches from which they later derive the 3 door hatch, coupes and four door sedans.
The "mini" minivan design was first introduced by renault with a car called Megane Scenic, and almost all the other brands followed. So a 5 door civic seems quite OK and also the minivan. I do prefer my four door sedan though, looks more classy.

Rep Power: 0 If I remember correctly in Japan they do not produce coupes. All cars are four door or van style. Most people there don't own cars beacuse they use publc transportaion. MOST (not all) people that own cars there are either the Yakusa or they are street racers.

i think the 5 dr hatch looks a bit like a tarago, although it does have the VTEC engine (to cope with the extra weight) and it's got the funky gearshift on the dash

I don't think the Stream looks that bad, but the 5 door is I think the worst looking 7th gen there is. Just like it was on the 6th gen.
The Stream actually won 1sty price here in Holland for best 'trekauto' of the year. That means in it's class it's the best car for pulling caravans etc. Last couple of years Subaru won every time.

'our' ITR is actually an RSX Type S, the JDM spec has a more powerful engine, red cam cover, and huge brembos, for starters
and it sits waaaaaaay too high compared to the older (DC2) model

the sedan shape is 'flat' (bonnet), 'round' (roofline), then 'flat' (boot)
the hatch is a continuous curve all the way from bonnet to rear hatch
for those technical/engineering people out there, it has something to do with laminar flow of soundwaves or something like that?!?!?!?
