street racing then comes a cop

i was bored tonight and was flying down rt. 6. i started racing some car, and about half a minute later both of us get pulled over. the cop takes my license and registration, then asks me "did you honestly think you could take a camaro?" i was like "oh damn thats what that car was"

anyway, he does the usual write up then comes back and we start talking. pretty cool guy actually. im not gonna post the conversation, but if i work this right the tickets will "disappear"

yeah I thought I could make my tickets "disappear" by taking a safe driving course, but then USPS lost my completion test when I sent it back, and I ended up paying $50 more and still having points on my license. I f--king hate the US mail...........

I've observed and stopped three street races my career. Participating in a street racing competition is a crime in New York, so I arrest the drivers and impound the vehicles. Not worth it in my opinion.

here in vancouver, you get 2 years of no driving, a large fine and a very bad record. plus impounded car. thats what you get for having one of the highest recording of street racin deaths.

Hey guys - be real careful about doing stupid stuff like this that will be on your record permanently. Even something as harmless as speeding tickets can come back to bite you in the a.ss when it comes time to get a job.

Case in point - I just got hired as a technician at John Eagle Honda last week. They did a background check on me and wanted to know why I accumulated 3 speeding tickets between 2000 and 2001 (well duh - I was driving fast and I got caught ). My new boss then said that if I would have gotten 1 more ticket, then John Eagle's insurance company wouldn't want to have me as a liability and then John Eagle would be forced to rescind their job offer. And now I have to be EXTRA careful not to get a ticket for like the next 1.5 years or so while I work at John Eagle Honda.

So yeah - just be careful about stuff like that.

Street racing is really big here, every weekend @ about 12 or 1 everyone heads toward Atlanta and meets up and runs each other, i love going it has been busted a fews times but it is worth going. I like to see people who think they are the $hit get the @$$ stomped. I don't have my license now because I got a 32 over so I lost'em for 6 months.
