Problems as far as what? Most car companies offer something similar including Honda. They usually only offer it for high end cars though. The reason they are going to release that is because Dodge is going to be releasing a turbo Neon that from the specs will blow the Vic and a lot of other cars out of the water in EVERY way.

The tubo neon is no joke. The new cavalier comming out is also supposed to be pretty mean , no trubo for it though. From what i heard, the PT cruiser (god i hate that car) is going to get the neons turbo also. Honda is lagging in the performane area.

My uncle is an engineer with GM, so I've known about their supercharger experiments for a while.......they've also been doing the same experiments with Saturns. I don't know about the production version, but the engine for the Cavalier S/C was really beefed up internally and built much better than the regular Z24's. All this is, of course, according to my uncle.
They have to replace the F-body with something..........

Doesnt GM offer a Supercharger on the Grand-Am's or Grand-Prix's ?. I thought I saw one from the factory like that, I could be wrong though.

Honda offers the Comptech supercharger as an option for the S2000. So yes, it is available as a dealer option. But technically no, it is not made by Honda.

Yes I am sure it is a dealer option and yes it is Comptech. All I was trying to say is that Honda has it as a dealer option for the S2000.

In case anybody is interested. The turbo engine for the new PT Cruiser is a 2.4 liter turbocharged and intercooled engine that produces 205 or 215 hp. This engine is used in the Mexican Stratus RT and now it will fitted into the PT. I didn´t know they were planning on releasing a Neon turbo though. No matter how fast the little "smiley" dodge is still very dorky looking.

I will find out the numbers on the stratus RT as far as 0-60 etc. I know its quite fast and it has built quite a reputation in Mexico. The stratus can beat the VW 1.8T very easy, so it will be faster than the Si, SVT or Sentra SE-R. But as far as looks and quality issues... I will stick to the 127 hp civic

For happynappy82 my friend has a turbo neon. it is fast, he ran a TA the other night and there was no comp. Its a han racecraft turbo kit he is running the protoype stage 4 sytem. the stage 4 you have to replace the rods, if you dont they will snap like toothpicks. Hahn racecraft also makes several other turbos for lower priced cars. Heres there site. check it out, they have specks and $h!t for all there cars.

Hey just so you know, the neon with the stage II kit is running 250-275 HP, the Avenger 4 cyl. runs at the same horspower only 3 lbs of boost less.

Oh and to the other guys talkin about pontiac. They have some major aftermarket parts for the Grand Am/Prix. RSM racing has a SC for both the grand am and grand prix. the grand am vortec sc has 230 hp @6000 rpm and 6lbs boost. the grand prix has 260 hp @5600 rpm and 6 lbs of boost. If you wanna check out there stuff for these car check out

RSM or GM power

Yeah see other car companies should take a lesson from GM. People want more performance and they would be much happier seeing it come from their actual car company. But of course the other guys don't listen until it's too late.

Also no matter what the domestic, price, and power, it will be shot down as "just being another domestic" by most people here anyway.

Yeah, domestics are always adding forced induction to their vehicles because they can't get an N/A engine to perform worth a damn.

Honda, on the other hand, has NEVER used forced induction on any vehicle they have ever produced. I'm not even aware of any tests they have done. They like reliability, something attained fairly easier with an N/A vehicle. As far as the dealer option for the S2000, it is just that, a dealer option. I guarantee that Honda, Inc. assumes no responsability for it and the warranty is now worthless. The dealer has to provide their own warranty and it's probably only good with that dealer, not any Honda dealer.
