The more people wreck em the more they cost to insure. The more people get em vandalized, call for claims..insurance goes up, they become a higher risk. All these people screwin their cars up and getting free aftermarket parts dosnt come from nowhere...we all get screwed for it.

Straight from the article....

"Drivers may be surprised to find their Honda Civic in the top 10, but Hondas such as the Civic and the Accord are
repeatedly high on the theft list, since parts are so valuable on the street, thus pushing premiums up."

Hence, you should report to your insurance company the type of alarm you have so that they can lower your insurance accordingly. Spending money on a decent alarm system may save you money on insurance in the long run.

class of driver is definately a factor...to many rice kiddies who cant control a fwd car under high speed. kinda like that kid who raced the guy in the brand new si hatch, and the hatch got stuck on the median at 30 mph.

I received a letter from my insurance company 2 months ago shortly before my policy renewel advising me that my rates would be increasing due to the amount of claims made for the 01 up civics (not me personally).
