Generic Pipe + K&N Filter?
Does anyone have a Matrix intake? I was wondering if i should get a generic intake pipe and then add a K&N air filter... do you think it will still make the sound of an Injen or AEM?
I'm guessing that the only difference between pipes is the "coating" and "material". Let's say i get a Matrix or OBX pipe and add a K&N filter, what do you think?
or option #2, don't even think about and just get an Injen or AEM.

if you want the sound.. just remove ur intake resonator...
even more sound... take out the stock filter, but leave the stock airbox there.. slap a cone filter at the opening of the air box where it used to connect to the intake resonator...
that'll give you sound. and it shouldnt' sound too bad either.
although, you're going to lose torque and horsepower.
