generation question

Hi, new here and to civics. Can some one please tell me the different model years for the different generations of civics? I am planning to buy one soon and need some basic info as to what years/model have the most aftermarket support to squeeze out all the hp possible.

Thanks for your time.

Also does anyone know any other good forums that are performance orientated.

Welcome to the site!
1st gen: 1972-1977
2nd gen: 1978-1982
3rd gen 84-87
4th gen 88-91
5th gen 92-95
6th gen 96-00
7th gen 01- 04

The 6th or 5th gen has the most aftermarket support.

im not trying to start anything, i mean i like the 6th gen and all myself, but the 7thGen is a fairly new car...so its really a bit early to expect all that many aftermarket parts for it. but im pretty sure if theres aftermarket support of the 5th and 6th gens you will mos. def. see the same amount of support for the 7thGen in time.

personally i love my car...it looks good (or it will be looking good soon ). just give it time and youll be able to mod it up to hell and back. so thats my take on it. get what makes you happy in any case.
