NX question

Ok, I ordered my NX kit, I DO know what I'm doing when it comes to cars so dont think I'm a moron, but I have a question for all the nitrous users here. With the new 2k1 civics, what is the recommended shot that you should use. I have an auto and people say autos can run a 50 easily, does this mean i could run a 65 or 75 and still be ok. I know 75 is pushing it, but has anyone heard different? Just need to get a couple things straight before i go out and hit it. Thanks guys. Oh and I also ordered my suspension kit

A 50 shot on these cars w/ stock internals is probably the most you really want to run. Now, if you had lower compression pistons and a built up bottom end, you could probably run a bigger shot. Im going to be getting either a NOS kit or a Zex kit, and I dont plan on runing anything over 45.

Most people run 50........
Check w/ delocampos......he has been running 75 for a long time......and uses it frequently....
I know he keeps up on it though.......check's his plugs after every run w/ it.......
Change plugs every oil change..........
All that good stuff.........
good luck.....Trevor

there is no need for a professional, IF you have common sense , and can follow directions, installing an NX kit is a snap. E-mail me if you have specific questions. I've done 3 installs so far

50 shots safe.. 75 shot's kinda pushing it.. a local dude runs a ZEX kit with 75 shot jets.. and hasn't had problems.. changes plugs every second oil change..runs full synthetic oil...uses premium fuel if he;s gonna be shootin...has 60k on the car and no problems yet...

thats is whats known as a nitrous backfire....reason is either you run the fuel jet too rich, Run too high a fuel PSI, or your intake manifold doesn't flow fuel well.

Basically what happens is the fuel will puddle inside the manifold, and ignite when the valves open for more combustion. To top that off it doesn't help that the intake manifold is plastic.
