Should I sell it?
Man I hate having a new car because every time I go out and find a new scratch or ding it just makes me sick. I hate finding scratches in my car and it seems like in the last two weeks it's just gotten it's @ss kicked. Last week the windsheild got busted. Somebody scratched it yesterday, there's rock chips all over, I have to park under trees at work and sticky sap gets on it every day and I just don't know what to do. The big "Should I sell it question" has been coming up lately. Should I just sell it and buy something older? Example: 96 EX Accord
Well, it's like that with every new car. You're not the only one who worries about your Civic all the time, trust me! If you sell it now, you're going to take a big hit on its depreciation, especially within the first 2 years of any new car.
Just look at it this way, in a few more years, your Civic will be just as old as that 96 Accord, and you won't be worrying about all these little things anymore.

Every car you have you will find problems with...If you park at work under a tree and always get stick tree sap on it, invest in a car cover....Youll always find new scratches...Just take care of your car...wash it and wax it and if you find a scratch take it out with compound...Why would you get a used car that will probably have problems...Keep your new car and enjoy the fact that you have a warranty and if anything goes wrong you dont have to pay a dime to fix it...With a used car it is just one problem after another...Take it from me I have had 7 cars and 5 of them were used. I had problems with all of them...well except my 94 civic but that was my parents car before I got it....so I know it was taken care of.

That's just the way it is with a new car. You just take care of it the best you can. Why an older car. It's going to look worse than the one you have now. The sap can be a big problem though. My brother has big pine trees near is driveway and I get sap all over the car everytime I visit. You just have to keep it waxed and wash it at least once a week.
Also, while an older car usually isn't as reliable as a new one, an older accord is a good choice. I just bought my wife one. We got it from the original owner and he had done every major, minor, and oil change service since it was new. All done at honda and complete with the printouts from the dealership. Although, the car is still several years old and things just start to wear out.
I just couldn't see getting rid of a new car because you can't stand seeing scratches and chips and stuff. That's just the way it is.

dont sell it, the only down side of a new car is exactly what you said, getting dings and bird doo on the paint that permanently stains it, etc, jus keep it you can't go wrong with that
IMO I would say DON"T get a car cover, because dirt that's on your car is pushed and brushed against the paint with the weight and movement of the cover. Just keep your car washed and waxed, and none of the contaminents will do lasting damage. Sure, everybody wants a show car, but personally I'd rather drive my car and enjoy it, than leave it in the garage. Just do what you can to take care of it, and ENJOY your car.
