I was at the Fast and the Furious 2 Casting Call today.............
What's up everybody, I was there today in Santa Monica, CA. at about 11am. Craig Lieberman, RJ De Vera and a bunch of other known industry heads were there. There were so many cars, it looked like a car show. I don't think I'll be going to HIN on that weekend at the LA convention center, because I already got a preview of what cars will appear. I took over 100 + pics. A lot of the cars that you see in the import mags were there as well. I only saw 2 other 7th gens there, but one was a Green civic w/Progress and Nitto stickers on it sitting on 19's, OEM body kit and the other was the infamous Fiber Images Auto Turbo 2k1 civic. I spoke to the guy who built the turbo system and to the guys who worked the carbon fiber all over the car. They are trying to get a turbo system on the market but as we all know is it's still up in the air. I hope you guys will enjoy the pics. Even though my ride was over looked, well obviously it's not up to show quality as the rest of the crowd was, but I was still happy to have seen all the nice rides there. There's a **** load of pics, so please be patient.
Peace
Randy

BTW, there's also a pic of a 2002 Euro spec Civic Type R Right hand drive, it's there, just forgot which album. There's 3 pics but the car is primered with chalk designs on it.

Can't wait for those pics!
Hopefully, if they're still gonna have the Miami, FL casting call, i'm gonna roll down ta that one. I wish MooCow went out to the casting call to see if he could make it.

I did get a chance to talk to the people who did the body work and the custom turbo. The car's body work was done at Fiber Images, but the turbo, i'm not sure. If you want to find out, go visit the Fiber Images website. A lot of hard work was put into it. For example the carbon fiber work took a long time to do since some of the parts had to be fabricated. The rims are 5zigen 5ZR's and each was overlayed with carbon fiber, it took about 1 week per rim to do. The guy who fabricated the turbo is hoping to get about 50% increase in horsepower so it's about in the 160hp range. They test drove it and it's fast but since it's an auto, it's a little slower, but the turbo does make a big difference. The kit that they hope to make will be both for the auto and turbo, because I asked if there was a difference and they said know, it'll be for either transmission. Other than that, I didn't ask too much about it. Hope this helps.
