New Supra
That's exactly why..... they didnt sell enough, for example the Honda Prelude, why do you think they discontnued em, and the Chevy Camaro's , they didn't sell enough so they had to do what they had to do........... now I think it's only temporary, as time passes on and people who have always wanted any of these discontinued cars gets older and has money to buy em, it'll be a sure buy cause they've always wanted it!!!!!!!!!!! Now ask yourself this....If they remake the Honda CRX , which they probably will in a few years...... would you want it?
nah i think tt's are too extreme for soem pl..some ppl dunno how to take care of turbo's so then the turbo dies and gettin new turbo's are expensive...i still think turbo timers should come standard but i can see the problems it might cause...

the original supra was merely an upscale celica - referred to as a "celica supra"
I think the supra became its own full model around 1986.
the reason the honda prelude was discontinued was beacuse its appeal was to people aged 16-30, but was built for an older class to buy. the problem came that due to the classification of the prelude as a sports coupe, it made it very expensive to ensure for its appeal group, causing a decrease in sales and the development of the s2000, a car that in theory they said, if someone has the money to purchase it, they have the money to insure it. this then in turn allows honda to sell its premium of said car and increase sales overall. so in theory your reason of it being discontinued due to low sales is correct, but this is the more in depth reason for the decreased sales and development of the s2000.
all i can say is damn
but i heard that it wont be a 6 cyclder turbo anymore
heard it will be a 8 cyclder non turbo
its like a lexus sc430 motor but only tuned to 400 hp

well i think toyota is gonna come out with something soon, cause with the reintroduction of the z, and the rotory, toyota would be crazy not to do something... plus everyone is going retro... heres a list of the fun to drive cars... all japanese.. and keep in mind, i say that the nsx is a honda... cause it is.. same thing with the higher models..
honda = s2000, nsx
nissan = g35, 350z
mazda = RX-8
subaru = STI
Mitsubishi = EVO
Toyota = MR2, is300, sc430

i doubt toyota will produce a sports car (supra) with 400hp and still offer it at a reasonable price. i have no doubt that they can make one, but unless its price tag is on par with the new Z, S2k, RX-8, etc. it wont sell as well, unless thats toyota's intentions, to make a powerful, expensive, 400hp+ V8 supra limited edition, and sell it for $40k or more.
all toyota has to do is offer a sports car for under $30k base price, have ATLEAST 250hp (more is prefered), keep the looks nice in and out, and i'm sure it will sell.
