Yeah like the guys said, its basically the car next to you at the light that has you thinking to yourself, I could Own him anyday. And the next thing you know hes handing you your *** on a plate.

I knew of that idea, but I didn't know it was called 'a sleeper'
So our cars could not really be a sleeper since everyone already thinks they are fast.

So then what would our cars be considered.

Sleeper = Looks slow but is really fast in disguise

sleeper = 1st gen Eclipse GSX, with the "GSX" spraypainted over. fake "rust holes" in one of the fenders for the intake, 15" drag wheels, one racing seat and about $20 grand invested in the engine, tranny and suspension. scared the hell out of me when i watched it smoke a supercharged trans am and a camaro SS spraying n2o.. and they both got a head start, also [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

nothing looks fast about it unless you count the 7thgencivic stickers
i had my first loss today against a type R integra. didn't know it was a type r til he got in front of me. i kept up wit him but once we hit that hill he started slowy pulling away[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/IMG]

Example - Buick Roadmaster estate wagon . Big land yacht , wood cladding , pin stripping and packed full of golf clubs AND under the hood a detuned but very lethal corvette lt1 engine and heavy duty transmission.

a manuver similar to a headlock where the arm is pressed with a lot of force underneath the neck slowing the blood flow/oxygen to the brain and eventually making someone pass out do to a lack of oxygen and blood flow.

Rep Power: 0 A 'sleeper' is aNy underestimated subject. A "sleeper" generally is referred to in relation to it's awakening. The U.S. was considered the great "sleeping" giant before Pearl harbor. A "sleeper" hit is a movie that was never expected to do anything, but blows up through pure fan action. A "sleeper" at the light is the guy who smokes you at green without you expecting it.
