Rep Power: 0 What's The Best Thing To Do To A Emblem Stealer?
Alright, I'm kinda getting worried about my car's emblem..
- my sister's tellin me her friends jack emblems.
- people on here always saying emblems being jacked
- Seeing cars with no emblems starting to become more common.
Now... What would you guys do if you catch someone doing jacking your emblem? Ofcoarse, we wanna beat the crap out of them, but gotta remember about the law n all. Is it even worth calling the cops on these guys? What kinda punishment will they have for jacking emblems? If nothing or close to nothing, I'll beat the hell out of the kid and forget about calling the cops.

Rep Power: 0 I would personally call the cops, then sit back and smile
While the punk kid gets in trouble, I get my emblems shaved, at the insurance companies cost

Rep Power: 0 If you catch them, affix the emblem onto their foreheads with a glue gun.
Seriously, I would be extremely pissed off if some young punk (and it's almost always young people who do stupid things like stealing valve stem caps or emblems) messed up my paint just to steal a $10-15 emblem. We need to teach them all how to respect other people's property. Today it's your emblems - if they keep getting away with it, in a few years they'll be after your entire car.

Rep Power: 0 Haha, i like the caning idea. I haven't heard of many people stealing emblems around here though. It seems like they are more fond of wasting their money to put a type r sticker on their hyundai.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah since I have the EX I haven't wanted to shave any emblems off my ride if I had the LX I may do it. But yeah I wouldn't put on a new emblem right after it got stolen it may just get jacked again.

Rep Power: 0 If I caught someone jacking my emblems I would Permanently embed it to the guys ***, that way he will always have it and never have to do it again.

Rep Power: 0 For a minute I was going to say I would do the same thing as QCK if I had my CCW, but then I remembered that just because you have a CCW doesn't mean you're a cop. A CCW gun can only be used in self defense, and if you escalate the confrontation in any way it's no longer an acceptable use of deadly force.
Given my "average citizen" status, I'd probably run up behind the guy and pound his *** into submission, then maybe call the cops or possibly just leave him there to think about what he's done.
I really should become a cop I think.
</End general rambling>

Rep Power: 0 If you know who it is, and what they drive, then here's what you do.... go to Spencer's (or any novelty-type store) and buy 2 or 3 of those stupid-a$$ bumper sticekrs. Then you have those stickers placed nicely on the offender's bumper. Not permanent damage if taken off somewhat soon, but real pain in the butt!

It would be fun to bust his kneecaps, but I only think you could get away with that if he was in your residence (garage maybe?). Our legal system is screwed up when a theif has more rights than the victim, but I don't think I'll press my luck. That's what insurance and cameras are for. Oh yeah, INAL and all that other CYA stuff.

Rep Power: 0 Yes, WD, you should become a cop. .
A police officer is allowed to display his or her weapon to stop the commission of a crime. If someone was tampering with a vehicle, most cops, at least in New York, would display his or her weapon so that the situation could be controlled as quick as possible.
