Is it tough for a novice to clear headlights??

Is it tough for a novice to clear headlights??
Hey , I want to clear my headlights...Is it tough if you are not a super mechanic and just a novice? I change my oil and do simple things, you know but can I do this? I printed out the DIY and want to do it...it looks sweet....comments please .....

Rep Power: 0 Exactly that socket extension is a must or don't even try doing the DIY I know from experience I had to go ask my neighbor for one and luckily I didn't have to put my car all back together and go into town just to get that piece.

Rep Power: 317 no it's not hard, it's easy. hardest part for me was taking off the bumper[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG]... just follow the diy and have a little patience.

Rep Power: 0 I know it was like 95 outside when we did my bud RevHigh's lights, but better then doing them in Phoenix where it has been over 110+ [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] But yeah I will agree I sweat my ***** off pretty good during most of the project but I had fun which is what counts. I would rather sweat over working on cars then anything else

Rep Power: 0 I know it is pretty easy to do. But, the most important thing is to make sure you seal the case again very carefully. Otherwise, you might end up with fogged lights, or condensation on the inside. Not pretty at all.
Also, do a search so you see what pitfalls others have had. I noted that some people have not sealed properly, others have scratched and flaked the chrome, etc.

Rep Power: 335 nah its really easy.. and an essential mod if u ask me... i did it myself. and i never owned or driven a car before my 7thgen.. and i have no previous mechanical experience.. never even pumped gas!!.. lol its just that easy.. thanks to the Excellent DIY guide

Rep Power: 0 It was kinda a pain in the butt to me. Not hard, just time consuming and all be damn if it wasn't hot! I was so worried about getting the sticky stuff on the chrome but it wasn't even an issue. However, a fricken drop of sweat from my forehead dropped on the chrome. I just let it dry and I have never been able to pick the spot out. Just make sure you use plenty of silicone. Too much is just the right amount.
Oh, imo, it was well worth the time and effort. I love the way the front looks!

Rep Power: 0 mine is sedan and it took a long time the first time i tried.... not too tough but really time consuming.
the next set i help do took half the time. try to get someone wif experience to help out. it reduce the time as 2 sets of hands will help pry the damn thing open!
