Why are we addicted to stickers?
They are so irresistable to soooo many of us. Why? Why do we have this addicition? Why can't we just say no. On some other forums there is a section for DFH (Decal Free Hondas). Why are we like this?
I can't call it. I don't have any stickers yet.... but when I imagine what I want my car to look like when I finish I see stickers on it. Is there some need to boast the mods that we have on our cars? Maybe its a sense of pride that we we have in the performance manufacturers and we want everyone to know that if you think my car looks good, this is where to find the parts. Thats it.... we are saving ourselves the time and hassle of telling people who our mods are made by!
i only got Three. One is the name of my car which i placed on the front of my windshield and the other two are the 7th gen civic stickers which im representin the site. now would that be considered rice if i put 7th gen civic stickers on cmon. Decal Stickers make our style and also tell our story about our cars

.....
I have three sticky's on the inside though(I couldn't resist)......they are on the sunroof.....ahhh....perfect, almost out of sight, but they are there when you want to look at em.....

ya know, id have to disagree slightly in my case. i have 1 sticker. it says "SLOWVIC" across the window in the back left. people still wanna race cause of the paintjob though.
I dunno if its just me or that some of these people abuse the word rice too much. So rice is a term to describe what they do not have on their cars. I don't see whats RICE about having decals on your car as long as you dont abuse having too many stickers on your ride. Decals make my car look out of the ordinary and eye catching, I dont have any performance parts yet for my car, so i dont put any performance stickers on my car. Its that simple. So don't say its rice unless you know it looks cheesy and abused

I havent any stickers yet either. I used to have some for a local audio shop but took them off. I just orded my stickers for the site and should be here next week. I am planning on putting some more on, I am just not sure if I want to have them on the door, or along the bodykit (comming soon). I dont thik it looks too bad, adds to the look of the car and where I live there are very few performance cars, other than the odd one that is bought hooked up so i thought it would be a nice eye catcher.
Just my $0.02

I got some 7thGenCivic.com stickers coming soon enough, hopefully. Dunno if I'm gonna put em on though. I think our fascination with stickers all goes back to the opposite sex. I would say 95% of all women dont know a damn thing about what is under the hood of a car. All they see is whats on the outside, reason being they drive vw bugs, miatas, and vw golfs. Guys see this and realize all that matters is how my car looks. Looks get the girl. Its all a popularity contest until the guy matures. So about until the time the guy gets out of college (one way or another) its all about how immature you are. After that is when most guys settle down, however some are just completely hopeless, like the ones who were the "cool kids" in high school.

Every time I do something to my car, the maufacturer of the part(s) sends me a sticker. It takes every bit of will power I have not to put it somewhere. Maybe it's just me. But I see SO MANY stickers out there. The one's that I think look hopeless are the ones that have big windshield banners that say HONDA or the one I saw yesterday "ALTIMA" I'm like no your kidding, thats what that is? I would have never known... But who am I to talk, I run a few stickers myself. I just thought it was a disease that I had. And yes, RICE is very overused.

I have always loved stickers. This thread brings back memories of my sticker books and the collecting craziness. I had the site stickers on the car but I am taking them off for a cleaner look. I don't think it is rice to have them on the car, they just attract to much attention imo. I saw someone in member's rides that had their stickers underneath their hood. It looked awesome. Anyhow, I love stickers! There is just something special about getting one with that several hundred dollar part. It's like the sticker is priceless or something!
I like to keep my ride clean. I have two stickes, they're both for the shop were I get my work done but I absolutly know the addiction. Every time I get a performance fart or anything that comes witha sticker, I have to kick my own a$$ to stop me from putting it on my car. I really like that under the hoo ldea though. Maybe I'll try that (since I keep every single one of those stickers
)
Hello my name is Evan and I am a stickerahallic, but I have been sober for 4 months now.

I'm not a fan of stickers myself... I do find a single logo in the centre of a tinted window tasteful... which Is why that is where I decided to express my pride for being canadian. I had it custom made with the colour of my choosing from a shop here in town... a friend of mine has a VW Golf and he got the exact same decal/size as I did.
I don't feel its a sickness, though... for me, thats the only sticker I'll ever want on my ride. I took off the dealer decal about 2 weeks after I bought my car and have considered taking off "Civic" cause I think it might look better without.. but haven't done that.. yet.

Stickers on a car are like name brands on shirt. You know most of us have some sort of name brand on our shirt. That's all I wore when I was younger, still am young. As I grew up though, I started wearing dress shirts and sweaters, no name brand needed to show off, it just looks classier. I had stickers on my car before too, but I took em all off. I am tempted to put them on again though. Not name brands or anything. Just a team name, and a car shop I go to. I just get the idea when I go to car shows and see stickers all over the sweet cars.
