Rep Power: 0 Type R probably not coming around.
I have read on several message boards where the Civic Type R is more likely to make it then the Integra Type R. Main reasons being that the Type R would conflict with Acuras marketing of Type S being their highest trim, 98 Octane running the K20A which puts out 220hp, and limited production figures. Being that the Type S is only 200hp if the engine technicalitys are not worked out they will not be pushing 220...even the Aussie Type R's are just Type S' with Type R pieces(ie seats, etc, no K20A).
Read around...it looks like the only Type R's that will be here are the ones that are imported or Type S' that have been converted.

Rep Power: 0 Its the logical move for Acura/Honda and I didn't expect it to come down this year in the first place.
The only way I had it coming was if the Type S wasn't selling to meet the companies expectations, but of course the Type S has sold well. And by bringing in the Type R it would only dilute their only product.
Plus the Type R would be higher priced, and at that level of about $25,000 the consumer has ALOT more options.
*But* if the Type S continues to sell very well, like it has been said, the Type R would also be a great choice to bring it in as a "limited, special, one time offer of the best Acura to date" or however Honda/Acura want to put it.
So hopefully in 04 it will be here, but I will think the negative and they bring it in 05. Oh well.

Rep Power: 0 As long as they bring one of the R's over here I'm happy. In fact, I'd probably be more happy with the CTR, but that's just me
