Rep Power: 0 totalled my civic - thanks for the good times
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I wrecked my civic by hydroplaning. Common sob story. Anyway, since I'll be buying a MINI Cooper S as a replacement (I've always loved British racers, no knocking the almighty Civ here!), I won't be visiting the site so often. Derek, and the rest (Mohawkboom and Blah), thanks for the all the info...I couldn't have done half the stuff to my Civic that I had without your help and advice. This is the best car info site I've ever seen. Keep up the good work.

Rep Power: 0 Bummer. Sorry to hear about the Civic. At least put a bumper sticker on that mini saying; "My other car used to be a Civic, but I totalled it and all I got was this mini."
I could've been worse. Cooper-S is very nice. It could've been a Focus.

...death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: for the former world has passed away...

Rep Power: 0 Actually, I was fortunate to get in with one of the salesmen here in Sterling, VA. He told me that as long as I wanted either a blue (with white top) one or a silver one (both S's) that were bone-stock, i could get my hands on one in a month. And yes, wherever my fiancee and I went on our test-drive, heads whipped around. It was almost awkward to get so much attention on the road. Of course, zooming around other cars to check out the suspension gets that kind of attention if it's MINI It sure hauls ***...so not a bad trade. I'm sure i've not seen my last Civic though.

Rep Power: 0 Oh, and for some reason, they're selling at sticker. I guess they want to no-haggle it, so they can make some bones on the customization and merchandizing. I had to put $1000 down just to secure it, since it's being assembled in Oxford right now. You can see the progress of the car from the MINI site, which is pretty cool.

Rep Power: 0 That sucks man, hopefully you will enjoy the new car and pop in every once and awhile to let us know how you make out with the car and bring some pics as well.
Quick question though, were you rollin on stock Firestones?, if so I am getting new ones now.
Later man.

Rep Power: 0 You got it...stock Firestones. You better believe I liked the sound of run-flat performance Pirellis coming stock on the Cooper S
