G tech says 142 hp!
I G teched my car over the weekend and it reads 142hp at the flywheel. Not too shabby! I know that it is not exact but I used it when I first got the car and it avg. 127 hp. So I figure that I am probably close to the 142 hp number.
ohh my setup engine wise is an AEM CAI and a ES Oval Tunning Systems muffler w/ custom 2.25 piping and no resonator.
just thought I would share.

Yes righttttttt, He said at teh flywheel, not at his wheels. Our cars have a lot of potential engine power, but its the transfer to the wheels that it lacks. that sounds like a pretty good approximation based on the conventions that you can use to guess your hp. notice that it WAS only like a 15 horse increase at the wheels, which is very realistic for a civic with intake and exhaust. Glad someone posted because i have comparable setup to that. Injen CAI and DC TCS exhaust with the 2.25" piping.

I weighed my car at the track and it read roughly 2735 (including my fat *** and nothing taken out). So I used this number for the weight I punched in. After several runs the avg. reading at the wheels was 122.4 (avg.). And on the average the hp lost through the drivetrain is 12.5%. Using these numbers, I calculated the flywheel hp. Like I said this device is an approximation. In general the theory of an accelerometer holds, it is just the fact of eliminating as many of the % error factors as possible. There are too many areas of % error to say this number could be totally correct. But, I did perform the tests along the same flat stretch of road on a virtually wind free night. There is really nothing more I could do.

It is pretty quiet when it is cold, but after it warms up it gets really deep. My friend has a teg type R with JDM header, carsound cat and apexi N1 and the es is deeper. Not nearly as loud, but much deeper. I really don't know how else to explain it, sorry. I can say that I am very pleased with the sound, and I'm a person who likes to be heard, if that means anything.
