Yo Civics dont have 127hp . The engine produces that at the flywheel. Deduct about 12% to 15% for the drivetrain and that puts is at about 108 hp at the wheels. Measuring hp at the flywheel is the car companies ways of making cars sound faster. Every company does it.

Manual of course, auto's are far lower
haha...that's why I said SHOULD BE
so this brings us to our next discussion.
will more HP come from using 87 octane gas VS 93 octane gas?
how much of a difference will an intercooler do for my car?
since CAI only give you like 1HP.....I'm thinking big gains in HP here...

87,89,92,102, octane....tons of threads on that......
Intercooler???...Do you have Turbo???......
CAI....If you want to talk about big HP gains......your're looking at a few thousand dollars......
Gude,Turbo(custom), although nitrous you can run for under a grand and get some pretty decent gains.....

If your timing was advanced i can see higher octane fuel being a neccesity. ( is that spelled right?) If you didnt have high octane fuel when your timing was advanced you would get detonation. I dont see getting any extra hp from ultra 94 though.
since we are on the subject of octane....i live 15 min. away from a place that sell 110 octane...it kicks ***...of course the drag strip is a mile east of that. fun stuff though hehe
My 2002 Silver EX has 127,000 gp baby!

gp= GERBIL POWER!!!
(assuming that one Gerbil = 1/1,000 of a horse)
I find that it helps the ol' ego a little bit to convert horsepower to Gerbil Power sometimes
But then I wake up when I get smoked by an RSX (200,000 gp)

FLY WHEEL, guys have 127hp at the fly wheel. Lets talk real numbers here people. You probably have single digits. My friend has an Integra LS, it has 144hp at the flywheel stock and he dynoed at 115 at the wheels. Now I believe a 2k1 will have somewhere around 109 at the wheels.
