18.0@76mph what a joke.

Just got back from the track and ran consistent 18.0's. Is there something wrong with the car or what? I know it is an auto but still for the mods I have I thought 15.9's all day. I stalled the car up to 2900rpm and it just would not go. Any imput guys.

sorry man... but the difference between a stick and an auto on civic is HUGE...
...also take into effect weight.... do you have a system, heavy rims, spare tire... anything to weigh you down?

you have an automatic transmission - expect those numbers. get a torque converter from levelten.com if you want to improve on your times.

i'm sorry guys but r/t has nothing to do with how fast your car runs a quarter mile in. the only big difference in r/t is in bracket racing. if your running 18's all day and react quicker than someone else who is running the same thing, you'll own them all day. with an automatic, the only thing you can try to do is power brake it. meaning, hold the brake down as hard as possible, and trying to rev the engine as high as possible. i have a 2k1 lx 5spd, the only thing i have on there is a aem cai, and a tenzo r rear end section. when i went to the tracks, i ran the car with 99/00 si wheels, my best 60ft was 2.41 and e/t was 16.4 @ 84 mph. do you have rims on the car? how much excessive weight did you have in the car? those things matter. i took out my sounds, and spare tire. i'm hoping to get in the high 15's by end of summer hopefully, don't want to get into nitrous yet.

uhhhhh...why do you have WS6 in your name if you drive a civic? Do you also have a T/A WS-6?.......If you do, I wouldn't bother taking the civic to the track

If not, put your stock wheels back on(Saves me about .5 sec), and I also second the level ten torque converter.

Thanks for the responces guys. The car is my wifes car, my WS6 went 11.13@126.7 the same day. For the record my r/t was a .513 not that it effects e.t. The car does have heavy rims and a spare tire and all the other crap in it. I saw a lightly moded SI in the 15's and thougt I should be to after all the bolt ons. I was not aware there is a converter for this car. I'll look in to it. Also is the cam gear worth anything? How about vtech controler? I did power brake the car to 2900rpm but could only get a 2.6 60ft. Gurneeex how did you get so much top end? Where do you shift. Thanks again guys.

sorry for the late response. real busy at work. anyhow, you only need to worry about 3 gears on the tracks, unless your running with real heavy mods. i took each gear to redline (6800 rpm), no less no more. anyways as far as top end, i really wouldn't say top end. the car lags so bad in 3rd gear. i got good spin off the wheels, meaning the aem cai, helped my bottem end more than anything. Everyone of my runs, i was launching between 3000-3500 rpms. i felt really good with my times, still slow, but with the mods i had in the car, i was running about .8-.9 faster than a stock lx 5spd that was there.

i can tell u right off the bat your wheels are slowing you down. sure they might be lighter, but they have a larger diameter which equals more time to make 1 full revolution, which in turn equals worse acceleration, higher top speed. top speed doesnt matter in 1/4 unless you got an actually fast car...not a civic.

I'm going to the track on wednesday of this week to see what my 5-speed lx has got. im curious to see what my aem cai and custom cat back (*headers-back) 2.25" exhaust is doing for me. i also disconected the power steering, but that is it for enigne mods untill after i'm broke from the Koni adjustable strut purchase and install
