trading civic for bike
Good luck bro and just remember drive safe. My grandpa was an anesesiologist (sp) and saw thousands of people in the hospital from accidents w/ no helmets. Keep it safe and have fun.

My dad is the bike man in the family I just don't feel safe on them I need some protection around me at least a little bit. Hate all the wind noise on long rides, I just prefer a car. Favorite bikes are the HD ride awesome, my dad just bought a Heritage.

aemx,
Since you have a 2nd vehicle for the winter you've got yourself covered year round. I don't know how proficient towards your riding but if you're beginning make sure you go to one of the rider training courses. They are available in the community colleges or the Motorcycle and Moped Industry Council has one.
Riding motorcycles in traffic are very different than driving a car.
Enjoy the road.
