So the other night I was driving down the road going the speed limit (55) and I come up on a guy swerving and going 25. I came up on him pretty quick and backed right off, then at the next light he was waiting at a green light for a while, so I tapped the horn. He turned into the left lane so I went to pass him on the right but he cut me off so I went around him on the left. At the next red light I stopped and he stopped behind me. THen the crazy got outta his car and started swinging a bat at my civic He hit my left quarter as soon as I started to go so when he hit it I jumped out to go after him but he ran back to his car and took off, all I go was the license plate number. I called the police and everything, but who knows what they're gonna do, I'm still waiting for them to get back to me. Anyhow.......$560 worth of damage....I guess the moral of the story is don't mess around with stupid people on the road...ya never know what they're gonna do????

thats sucks dude, i had that same **** happen to me the other week. but my turn came up so nothing really happed. At least it was just a bat!!!!!

You did the right thing. The guy is going to be locked up, assuming you request an arrest, and I urge you to. Under no circumstances should anyone get out of their car and try and confront someone...I might have gotten out of my car simply because of the fact I always have a firearm with me and I would have been able to identify myself and arrest the person on the spot.

Anyway, you did an excellent job, and remember to request an arrest. You will be the "arresting party," as it is based upon your observations, and you will need to give an official account of what you observed, but it is well worth it as road rage has no place on the road.

Stay safe man. Fnuckin sucks man. Chi gets bad with road rage to, and to think you didnt even give him the finger! Man well, you lucky it was just the car, right, your ride will be back in check soon, I hope. Get him, dont let it slide.

i hate road rage my good friend is doing 6 years (1 in juvi) and 5 in the pen for assualt and battery cus this guy hit his bumper and he went crazy and beat him up bad

Ever saw that video of some guy shot another person 'cause they got into a small auto accident? I did a couple years ago on TV, very scary!

That's why you should keep modding out your car. So if it ever happens again, you can run the SOB down. I don't mean literally, I mean follow him. It might not be the safest thing to do, but as long as you can out-run him, then at least there's a chance he'll wet his pants thinking about why you're tracking him.

Oh yeah, and stupid people suck. I'm amazed that some people are even able to get out of bed sometimes, with the complete lack of intelligence or common sense whatsoever. Probably the most annoying thing in the world is being stuck driving behind some old lady who can't see over the steering wheel, and who's driving about half the speed limit .. on a one-lane road. Oh well, that's life ...

That sucks man if I saw that I would have gunned right through the light, people like that are crazy they just don't think sometimes of what will happen to them for what they do.

Hey quiksilver, if you, on duty, were sitting at an opposite light, and all you saw was someone running the red light, unknown to you that they were getting away from a psycho, what would you do?

I guess I'd do what I normally do when I see someone commit a traffic offense. Begin by following the person and running the registration through my computer and obsering the persons driving habits. I would probably initaite a stop soon after of that vehicle. What I'd do would depend on what goes from there...

In that case it would be worth the risk. The officer may or may not believe you, but the worst that could happen is a ticket. That's worth possibly saving my life/car for.
When it comes to self defense situations gun-nuts have a saying I rather like -- Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

haha....they arrested him, now he's gonna get it ! ! ! The only ding in my car was on that same quarter panel, so getting that fixed is gonna come outta his pocket too!
