For those of you with a manual transmission, when do you shift during normal driving, racing, and gr

For normal driving:
3500 rpms in 1st , then shift to 2nd
3000 rpms in 2nd , then shift to 3rd
2800 rpms in 3rd, then shift to 4th
I don’t really pay attention to rpms here, but at about 48mph I shift from 4th to 5th.

For racing:
6500 rpms in 1st , shift to 2nd
6500 rpms in 2nd, shift to 3rd
6800 rpms in 3rd, shift to 4th
Sometimes I get stuck in 4th at about 6300 rpms and I’m going 115 and that’s all the LX will let you go
If I make it to 6000 rpms in 4th I’ll shift to 5th just for the he11 of it.

Grandma driving:
I’ve never really accelerated slowly. So for those of you getting 35mpg or something amazing let me know your driving style because I’m only getting 31-33mpg now.
I’ve tried this…..
3000 rpms in 1st, then shift to 2nd
2800 rpms in 2nd, then shift to 3rd
2500 rpms in 3rd, then shift to 4th
then I’m driving in 4th at about 18-1900 rpms going about 40-45

I’ve never driven like this on a whole tank, has anyone?

Let me know your MPG and driving style…….I’m sure this should be interesting

sKwiD is on a distinguished road
For normal driving:
1st-2nd 15mph
2nd-3rd 30mph
3rd-4th 39mph
4th-5th 45mph

For Racing:
1st-2nd b4 redline
2nd-3rd b4redline
3rd-4th b4 redline (if I get there)

Whats Grandma??? hehe, I would know actually... I pushed out avg. 40 mpg the other day on my tank of gas on dirty oil too, this was b4 I got my oil change... OK OK it was 39.4 or something, but it sounds better at 40

For normal driving I'll usally shift at 4500rpm in first gear then in the 3000 to 4000 range for all other gears
For racing I take all the way up to just befor the redline exept maybe in first if there to much wheel spin.

As for grandmas, them and there driving habbits are not alowd in my car either

I dont think the civ's will do 1800rpms in 4th gear at 45. I think it does atleast 2700.
Anyways, Normal driving I usualy shift at 5k until 4th, then I shift at 3500.
If Im in a hurry, I'll shift at 7k all the way through 6th.
If Im granny shifting, Im usualy changing gears around 3500.
