The back of the car looks like a 5th gen civic sedan. spy shots

The only thing you can see for sure in those pics is the side profile... those are not the tail lights... they're covered with white tape
and those arent the real shape of the headlights.. dont worry

Rep Power: 396 Oh no the Aztek...that thing is just plain nasty. They may of covered the taillights with white tape but it still reminds me of the rearend of a 5th gen civic sedan.

I don't think that is what is going to look like. The pics of the coupe that are on edmunds and other sites do not have the same front as those cars.
new for 2003 inside and out. Available with Satellite Navigation System. 6-spd manual for the V-6 Coupe. 5-spd Automatic, now available. New colors include Sapphire Blue Pearl, Desert Mist Metallic, Graphite Pearl, and Redondo Red Pearl. Expect the all new Accord in showrooms this September.
NOTE: V-6 Manual Transmission Coupes will not be available until Spring 03.

I like the new Accord a lot, its a nice evolution of the previous gen. Of course those are not the real tail lights (didnīt you see the spy photos of the 7gen civic before it came out?). Head lamps look good, hope they resemble more the current civicīs than the previous Accords.
As for American design, sorry but I think there are some excellent American designed cars and some really ugly cars too, just as there are nice and ugly japs, euros, etc.
I like both the civic coupe and 4 door, each has its own interpretation, the only thing I dislike about the coupe is the lack of side mouldings, which can be easily fixed by getting them.
Just hope the new Accord will be able to beat the current one in terms of ride, quality and specially suspension, and it does not come with lots of free interior rattles, as in the new civic

Rep Power: 0 I like the looks of the sedan, it is the "usual" honda evolution from the previous one, if you see the bumpers they look just like in the civic sedan, as if they were part of the whole car rather than an attachment.
As for the front, would have to see without the mask, hope the headlamps are shaped like the civics, those are really cool.
As for the coupe pictures, I donīt know if I could believe them because the car looks so un-honda. It is cool though but seems like something coming from ford (how about a mix between the cougar and the taurus) with the tail lamps of a mercedes..
