Come across "ultra high performance' TIMING belt at $4K+

the HOnda Accord EXL V6 2017 is a timing belt design. I accidentally come across the website:

https://www.totallybelts.com/en-ca/c...mhl-170mm-wide

what so special about this kind of timing belt that worth that much? has anyone use it before? suppose I want to upgrade the original honda accord V6 2017 to high quality timing belt, what would you choose?

I'm dubious. Seems like they accidentally added two zeros to it.

I'd take Gates over this 100/100 times.

I do wonder what country makes the Accord time belt? if it's made in Japan, then it's good enough to me. What I would like to see is the close up of that belt compare to the above website

Re: Come across "ultra high performance' TIMING belt at $4K+

thank you. I like that video. My last car and my current car is timing chain. So the truth is, I am not a big fan of timing belt I am looking for any stick shift from Honda that is 2 door (w/ back seat), at 270 HP or higher. I am using Civic SI, so the next 1 up should be the Honda Accord 2017 model, as there is no more stick shift since that is 2 door coupe. My option is very limited.

Pretty sure the only option at that number is the 6-6 accord. My best friend has a 2010 and it's been pretty much flawless for him.

It's every 100k miles, so it's not like it's an annual thing. Even at a shop, I think it cost my friend under $1200 CAD. That certainly wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me given how robust everything else is.

well, I save the money and see what Accord service center has to say , but I don't have the car yet. Even if it's made in USA, I'll be happy
