Do you need to roll the rear fenders if you get a camber kit???

Im getting the SPC camber kit and im not sure if my tires will rub or not. I have neuspeed sport springs and my tires are 215/40/17. Has anyone had any problems with their tires rubbing after installing the rear camber kit? I read through all the posts about camber kits and couldnt find a good enough answer.

You will have to have anywhere from 1º to 1.6º of negative camber, depending on the offset of your wheels, to clear the inner lip of the fender.

I have the Ingalls kit, currently set at -1.4º at the rear with a 2" drop and 17x7 wheels w/ 42mm offset. I clear the lip by just about 2-3mm--it works and it looks and handles way better than stock camber (just -0.5º, I think).

Then please explain to me why I had to buy 2 new tires for the rear. I can take some pics of the tires that came off and you will see that the inside of both rear tires were completely worn off. I would rather spend the money for the camber kit instead of buying tires for the rear every 6 months. By looking at my car from the rear I can see that I have negative camber and at $160 per tire Im not about to ruin another pair.

01IncaPearl: not only that, but when you rotate those neg cambered rears to the front, like you're suppose to, they really mess up your ride. You get the vibe in the steering wheel that you can't fix with balancing. Yes you need a camber kit. No doubt.

Once Camber kit is installed and corrected, the tires won't be tucked in at a nice angle, they'll be straight..... the top of tire will come closer to the inner fender lip(where you screw in sideskirts or bumper) especially with wider tires........most places will bend them further or just cut them for a small fee...My brother doesn't have any problems until he gets on the freeway on-ramp...when the car leans you hear a wheewhee wheeeeeeeeee squealing noise....Swaybars, strut &lower tie bars are other solutions......

Apply it to my situation....If I have 215/40/18 tires...42 offset wheels...Neuspeed Sport Springs...SPC camber kits...will I need to roll the fenders after I install the camber kit?

Thanks for the help fellas, this stuff is new to me and I want to get it right the first time.

What kind of tires are these? I'd really like to know so I don't ever consider buying them. I've had Yokohama a520's for at least 6 months and they are fine.

Not in the front.....possibly in the back if you have lots of weight(people, box, candybars...)....

I rolled my rear just to be safe, and I have 215/40/17. I had everything done today and I have no problems with rubbing at all. Im very happy with this purchase. I posted a review in the review section if you would like to read more on it.
