Anybody done this yet?
I was wondering if anyone has installed a VW/Lexus style roof antenna or the OEM Si/MDX antenna from Honda on their civic? I was thinking about doing this, but wonder how it would look... Post some pics...

Rep Power: 0 What is not functional about that? The Acura MDX antenna features a 3db gain and that beats the sucky rear window antenna... how is that rice? It's the same antenna as the Acura MDX and Civic SI? Why is everything rice now... geez now you got me on a tangent...

* Altezza Grille (pics soon)
* DC sports TCS exhaust
* AEM CAI (RED)
* Koni Yellows
* D.I.Y Clear headlights
* Tsunami full kit
* Factory matched metalic look interior trim
* Koni Yellows
* 2002 SI Seats (thats a big iffy)
* 2002 SI Steering wheel (need to find one)
I guess none of these are "ricey" and all serve a purpose. My point is that most of the shiite talkers on this site are the biggest hypocrites of all. Just like with anything... It's always the ones that act like they are above it all that are most into it... Nuff said... Oh yeah, and like granny used to say "If you can't say something nice..." Oh well, guess I'm a hypocrite too.

Rep Power: 0 He wants to put it on his car and make it work. not just for show. Think about it. Like he said it puts out 3db's more then ours. I think haveing it in the rear window is a lot cleaner then haveing one on the out side of the car.

That's not rice, especially if it's functional. The rear window antena is cool because it won't get broken off or whatever, but the reception sucks. If you get the antena isntalled and working let us know man!

Rep Power: 0 I would have to agree, if somebody wants to make their car look a little different than everyone elses, don't call it "RICE", it's an expression of their individuality. And personally I think the rear-window antenna looks awesome, and I haven't had much problem with the reception either. Actually, where I live, it's the radio stations that suck. Every fvckin station is country .. Uggh - I HATE that sh¡t!! Anyways ..
Oh, anybody know what would happen if the rear window were broken, how would you get that antenna repaired, or would you have to order a brand new window? That would suck ..

Rep Power: 344 Explosivo: if your doin it to be functional than i guess more power to you, go ahead. the way you stated your question it seemed like you were doing it for looks. I have seen many people have their stock antenas still on their cars, and have one of those roof antenas there. Sorry if i took the wording of your post wrong. my bad. on the look factor of it, to each his or her own.
