What do you consider to be "rice" or "ricey"
This topic has definitely been touched on before. It seems the popular thing to do in these forums is trash talk. I want to know what everyone considers to be “rice” or “ricey.” IMO I like almost every modification out there. Only thing I would consider to be “rice” is a modification that is out of place or over exaggerated. Example: Exhaust tips in general, especially ones that are literally as big as a coffee can, all other exhausts don’t seem “ricey” to me; spoilers that are too tall, taller than the roof of the car any other spoiler doesn’t seem to be “ricey” to me.
Other than that, I can’t think of a mod off the top of my head that’s anywhere near “ricey”.
I imagine by the end of this forum, every single mod will be considered rice. Guess we’ll see.

well i think rice is led washer lights.. (lol i used to have them too!!).. i agree with spoilers higher then your roof.. i think most stickers are rice too.. u know the typical.. pikachu.. hello kitty... dragon ball z...

Big wings on a front wheel drive car, assloads of stickers (type r), neon lights under car or in car, exhaust tips, altezzas(c'mon they are made for mustangs and explorers now), and most importantly the drivers of these automobiles.

Rep Power: 0 Dont know if its rice or just stupid in general but i am so tired of seeing everyone with led washer nozzles, i mean its gone so far as the family mom with them on her huge lincoln navigator and some po ghetto guy dressin up like a 30 year old ford with enough riceboyz accesories to buy a new car!!! Gigantic aluminum wings that do nothing but give the appearance you may just get aerodynamic lift and float your car over traffic on your way to where your going. Enough wing to get the job done is fine but whats with puttin a 4' x 8' sheet of aluminum on the back of a civic really going to do???? LED Exhaust tips too, what is that all about? I mean if your too poor for a real exhaust no one you want to impress with it is ever going to see it.

Yea, a guy at my local riceboys has one of those stickers on his kia hatch, i mean, the resemblence of a civic hatch is there, and i didnt list that one cuz i felt it was more of a general stupidity rather than rice...

Rep Power: 0 Big A$$ aluminum spoilers (on front wheel drive cars, on rear wheel they actually do something), non functional ram-air style hoods (yes you see these on other cars and they come standard on some cars, such as my Ex-girlfriends suburu outback imprezza sport), big exhaust tips on factory exhausts, badges and stickers for things your car doesn't have (SIR, GTR, SI, 4 different tire companies when your on stock tires), and more than 1 set of fog lights.
Don't get me wrong, I belive in doing what you want (different strokes for different folks), and many of the ram air hoods you see look great on the car, but if you're gonna do it, make it work!

Things like shaving emblems, exhaust tips, damn near every aftermarket spoiler, getting girls to stand infront of cars in pics so that it takes away from how ugly the car is all fall into the category of "rice." And redfog, if a 2002 Civic Si is your dream car, I feel sorry for you man b/c I know my dream car is a Ferrari 360 Modena.

Rep Power: 0 I don't think rice is one particualar accessory or another. It's more of a feel about the overall appearance of the car. (e.g. a reasonable wing, pepboys fogs, single wiper, or a few stickers might not be rice if ONE is used on a car, but all of them on one vehicle is rice). It's hard to hate on a particular part because there is no doubt one car out there that it looks phat on. I've seen the ugliest wings look sharp in congunction with the right body kit or paint job. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Well, rice could be defined as modifying your car in ways that do not improve upon perfomance of the vehicle. If you would like me to explain further, or in words you can understand, I'll be more than happy to.
