if possible post some pics that show the OEM and the GUDE to make a comparison. That would be pretty sweet. Have fun with the GUDE

I'm an official distributor of Gude/Bullfrog performance. They dynoed the package on a STOCK ex and it showed 40 hp to the wheels. not too shabby. If you purchase through me i'll get you a monster discount. see my thread in the Marketplace.

well think of it this way, the more air you can get into your engine and the more exhaust fumes you can get out of your car the better the performance will be. So, all the ported and polished head, throttle body, and intake manifold does is make it easier for air to get into your engine for when its needed for combustion. Thus, with a better intake and exhaust systems will make the gude package even better. You have to remember that they took a stock 2k1 civic EX, threw on the new head, throttle body, and intake manifold and they were getting 45hp to the wheels. Just think what a better intake and exhaust system will do for it. . .

Someone must Dyno the car to verify the increase in Hp...and tell us how the performance is enhanced over the entire RPM band and if reliability is affected

okay I'm seriously considering getting this, but one question. What application or variation of it would I be looking at purchasing to use in combination with the custom turbo that has recently come out? If you don't know what I'm talking about here New Turbo Thread I know there was talk about having to get a thicker head gasket in combination with the gude kit if a turbo kit is ever possible, but would this be a safe buy if turbo is indeed in my plans?

If this put an extra 40 - 45hp at the wheels then I am thinking of doing this as the upgrade for next summer along with the turbo. So i better start saving now .

I've heard the compression ratio was raised so much that there is like no way you can run a turbo w/ it. Thats just what somebody said though.

gude/bullfrog doesnt just have the worst customer service evAr, nono. They are notorious for shipping "kits" that are missing parts (and when my frined bitched, after he got his kit they told him that he stole the missing parts and was trying to screw THEM). And pigs will fly when a stock civic EX gets 45 to 50 WHP out of a kit as such.
now theres something to think about.

I dunno Joe, both Honda and Jun have gotten excellent gains out of the 7th gen civic with some head work . Only dyno numbers will tell what the Gude package is capable of though.

well, in that case, Im not going to mention the fact that I trust Gude as far as i could throw my car, nor am i going to mention that JUN is absolutly one of the best Japanese aftermarket tuners for naturally aspriated engines.

Maybe JUN will come out with such a kit then? Someone should contact them and see what they have planned. They should have something in the works, because I saw their car at the SEMA convention...

I don't really know much about either company. In fact, the extent of my knowledge is the fact that gude has a package for our cars. I'm skeptical about the hp claims but I don't have the knowledge to argue either way. Several people have already ordered the package and hopefully we will get some unbiased performance figures soon. I like the idea of the package and the price is good. However, I think people forget that they will also need a new clutch if indeed it does produce the claimed 45hp.

Doesn't it cost about $2,000 all to gether? I would need to see dyno slips and 1/4 mile times. I just don't see 40 hp on our cars(especially stock). What's all included in the package?
