Okay, Im new to the forum or whatever! Well actually I've been around a while just never posted! I used to have a 2001 civic ex, until I sold it and got a little 2 seater del Sol... some of you might start hating and saying it's a "Del slow" but not really when I just dropped an h22 in there (In case you dont know, its a prelude motor)! Took 3 days to weld everything to fit... okay okay so that's not the point of why Im writing this post. I was looking through Members Rides when I came across peoples pictures that said 2001 Civic SI ...........Um if you know the first thing about cars you would know that they didn't make a 2001 civic SI ... they made the 99/00 and then the 2002! There was no such thing as a 2001 civic SI. Puh-lease!! I think the people that stick SI stickers on their 2001 civics are ricers!! Had to vent... Hate if you must, but when U are into imports like tha big ballers... make sure u know a little about what ur talking about! late!!

Rep Power: 0 Did you perhaps check to see if the Civics you referred to were owned by Canadians? In Canada, the Civic EX is designated as the Si, including 2K1's. American Si's are designated SiR's in Canada if I'm not mistaken. Just a little clarification. This IS an international site, ya know.

Rep Power: 0 Well DelSolDiva, we're sorry you didn't research a whole lot, but it's your own fault. First of all, having been on the site awhile and not posted, had you payed ANY attention, you should have known that... especially being an Ex-2k1 Owner.
Oh and by the way, have fun with that H22 in the Del Sol... Even in a Del Sol, the H22A will run 12's or so... and don't forget the install.. the $400 mounting kit and relocating practically everything on the firewall should net you days and days of fun. Oh yeah, and an H22 also nets about 4000 RPM in 5th gear at 80mph... hope you got a decent tranny, cause most of them have terrible gearing. Oh yeah, and your car is so light, I hope you at least put in a Limited Slip, hopefully a viscous, cause you'sa gonna have some traction problems too. Also not to mention the nearly 60-100lbs extra weight in your front end, which will throw off your car's center of gravity... You'll love the quarter mile, but the car won't handle very well. Welcome to TERRIBLE UNDERSTEER, population: YOU.
