Poor Canadians... don't you have any civil rights? I must be the only one that realizes they SIEZE YOUR CAR before even being CONVICTED of a CRIME!! SO if a crooked cop wants to, he can seize your car because he doesn't like you or hondas or whatever, and it's all legal if they, " intend to charge the driver with a specified offence under the Motor Vehicle Act or Criminal Code, Coleman said"
Wow.
Wow.
<< People should start going to the track more often if they want to race. >>
I'm gonna have to say ditto on that. Though it is fun sometimes, it is definitely not smart to race on the streets. KEEP IT OFF THE STREETS!
I had my third customer last night for street racing. They both kept their mouths shut, so they received summonses instead of getting arrested. I did impound the cars, a two door Ford of some type and a Pontiac. Driving is a privledge, not a right. Participating in a speed contest is a crime in New York State, and therefore I had the authority to impound the vehicles. In my state, an officer can make an impound even if the driver is charged with a violation. In addtion, the Supreme Court ruled last year that anyone may be arrested for a traffic violation. A summons is in lieu of an arrest. I'll give anyone a break on just about anything, but I will not tolerate street racing.
<< The racing often involves souped-up imported cars but police also point to aggressive or inexperienced drivers who drive at unsafe speeds >>
thats a little biased dont you think??? how amny times have youseen 2 mustangs go at it????

The mustangs would fall under the "aggressive" drivers
If you don't want to get your car impounded do it somewhere where you won't get caught like the track.
